  • DXF-Link - Provides bi-directional data exchange using Autodesk DXF file format

  • Auto Dimensioning - Includes datum and standard dimensioning, radius, angle, and leader support, user defined tolerencing.

  • Split Plane Tools - Provide an interactive and automated method for creating complex embedded planes on signal layers consisting of plane areas and routes while maintaining all design rules including net specific and conditional net rules.

  • CAM Plus - Includes filters to interface to pick and place and auto-insertion equipment: Dyanpert, Universal, Phillips, Siemens, etc.

  • Clusterplacement - Includes interactive, semi-auto, and automatic component grouping and placement. Allow both hard and soft grouping.

  • Physical Design Reuse - Physical Design Reuse enables the designer to capture and store physical placement, including routing, in the layout environment. PDR supports "Golden Circuit Technology", multi-channel replication and circuit replication applications. Includes support for the Isomorphic Process, a schematic independent technology, to reconcile PDR elements in PADS Layout.

  • Assembly Variants - Provides a quick and easy methodology for creating design variations from a single source PCB design. Variants can be created through a simple, table driven user interface. As variations are created, designers can preview their changes through a graphical preview option available though the same user interface.

  • DFF Audit - Design For Fabrication. Searches your design for manufacturability problems such as: Acid Traps, SolderMask Slivers, and Silkscreen over pads.

  • IDF interface - Bi-directional interface for converting PowerPCB databases to 3D ProENGINEER/Solid works databases. Changes made in 3D can be back annotated.

  • Advanced Rule Set - Expands the default rule base to include rule settings for layer, class, group, pin pair, and conditional levels in addition to differential pairs. Also includes BlazeRouter autorouting based on expanded rule settings (except for differential pairs, min/max length, and matched lengths). Includes PCB layer stack up editor, parasitic verification of capacitance and impedance rules, verification of fast circuit design rules for cross talk, signal delay, and stub control. Includes the setting and adherence to Component Entry Rules.

  • DFT Audit - Design For Test. Perform testability auditing during the PCB design using embedded auditing tools developed for programming in-circuit test equipment. DFT Audit provides automated database updates for test point insertion, test point preservation features and enables the test engineer to evaluate testability of PCB's based on user defined test strategies for optimal results. Also includes PADS Autorouter testpoint autorouting capability to optimize testpoint insertion.

  • Analog Tool Kit & Array Placement - Enables automatic and interactive jumper capability, and advanced teardrop and pad filleting controls for high density single and double sided designs. Includes the ability automatically array components in radial or planar arrays, pattern step and repeat, radial placement grids, array pattern wizards and additional tools for managing rotated parts and components. Also includes Angle-Free Autorouting.

  • AutoRouter HSD - enables you to route length-constrained nets anywhere in the rules hierarchy using the automatic routing engine. For example, net rules can be assigned at the default, net, or class level, and pin-pair rules can be assigned at the group and pin-pair level. Matched-length rules can be set at the net, class, group, or pin-pair level.

  • Router HSD - is a subset of AutoRouter HSD and enables you to manually route lenght-constrained nets anywhere in the rules hierarchy, using PADS Router.

  • Advanced Packaging Toolkit
Automated, any-angle BGA package routing capability including automatic connection generation and substrate array pad fanout, with plating tail capability. Die and Die Flag Wizard. Import of GDSII files for die part construction, with GDSII file preview capability
